Our Founder

Meet our amazing founder Marrilyn.

Marrilyn is responsible for creation of the Hub Care Support in 2012.
She had a vision that care recipients could choose the individual who provided their care and support, whilst ensuring ethical earning for carers.
Marrilyn had worked for many years within social care and local authorities.  She became increasingly frustrated with the approach of many organisations that didn't value the wonderful work that carers would do whilst hardly paying them enough to support their families.  This was coupled with care receivers that they had to settle for a low quality service and they never knew who was going to visit them.
The model that Marrilyn created revolutionised how people can access care and support whilst putting care and compassion at the heart of everything we do.

The positive alternative to care agencies

Since 2012, our founder, Marrilyn, wanted to provide a positive alternative to care agencies where both those receiving support and those providing support felt respected, with a sense of choice and independence.

She wanted to see service users receiving the quality, consistent care they deserved, as well as helping the carers themselves achieve a better work-life balance with better pay for the dedicated support they were providing. So, along came Hub Care Support.

We first started off with just a handful of independent Personal Support Assistants supporting their local community and now, years later are proud to have launched multiple local Hub branches around the UK.

The dream lives on

Marrilyn worked tirelessly over the 12 years that followed, always putting everyone else first to build the unique service we have today. Marrilyn’s values and ethics are embedded within every part of the Hub Care Support’s DNA. We speak to every individual looking for support with compassion and understanding, introducing Personal Assistants that share the same community heart.
After many years of giving to everyone around her, Marrilyn has now retired.  However her vision lives on and she can be proud that Hub Care Support continues to bring light to the lives of thousands of people across the UK every day.
Natasha Dorling – Co-Owner and Director

Natasha brings nearly 20 years of experience in the care sector, having worked across a variety of roles including HR, recruitment, and even as a Hub PA before becoming a Director in 2020.

Throughout her career, Natasha has been passionate about empowering carers, giving them greater control over their work and ensuring they are properly recognised and rewarded for the incredible care they provide. However, she found that in traditional care models, such as agencies and residential settings, this was often impossible due to low pay and overwhelming pressures on staff.

Everything changed when Natasha met Marrilyn, the founder of Hub. Together, they found a way to make care more flexible and cost-effective for Service Users while also supporting independent Personal Assistants. Through Hub, carers are able to earn what they truly deserve and enjoy the freedom to balance work with their family commitments.

Today, Natasha dedicates her time to supporting the managers of Hub branches across the UK, making sure each one delivers the highest standard of introduction service for Service Users and their network of Personal Assistants.

We love the Hub because we have the same PA each time and we chose them out of a list of PAs, so we picked the PA most suited to mine and my sister’s needs and we have now formed a friendship and trust.
