How Personal Assistant introductions work

Finding care and support at home can feel complicated, particularly when you want more choice over who provides it.

Hub Care Support introduces people looking for support to independent, QCAS-approved Personal Assistants in their local area.

Rather than simply being allocated someone, you can review suitable profiles, speak with the people you are interested in and decide who feels right for you.

A more personal way to arrange support

Your local Hub begins by asking what type of support you are looking for and what matters to you.

This might include:

  • the tasks or activities you would like help with
  • the days and times support is needed
  • the experience or interests you value
  • any preferences that may help identify a suitable match
  • the kind of personality you feel comfortable with

Your local Hub can then identify independent, QCAS-approved Personal Assistants whose profiles may suit your enquiry.

You decide who you choose and whether you wish to proceed.

How the introduction process works

At Hub Care Support we provide a personal introduction service to those looking for a little extra support in and around the home.

We introduce high quality, independent Personal Assistants and support them to remain secure and comfortable as their own boss.

Chat with us

We speak with every single person looking for support. We want to understand your individual wants and needs so we can make the best, most informed suggestions for your support.

Review PA profiles

We send you the profiles of every Personal Support Assistant that potentially meets your wants and needs. Then it's over to you to take the time to fully review their profiles.

Arrange a chat

Once you've made your selections, invite the Personal Support Assistant(s) to meet with you so you can be sure that they are the right fit, ask them for any more information and discuss the finer details of your support.

What does Hub Care Support do?

Hub Care Support is an introduction service.

Your local Hub can:

  • explain how the introduction process works
  • listen to what you are looking for
  • identify QCAS-approved Personal Assistants whose profiles may suit your enquiry
  • share relevant profiles
  • help arrange an initial conversation or meeting

Hub Care Support does not employ Personal Assistants and does not manage, supervise or control the support they provide.

Once an introduction has been made, the working arrangements are agreed directly between you and the independent Personal Assistant.

What do you agree with the Personal Assistant?

Before support begins, you should discuss and agree matters such as:

  • what support will be provided
  • when and how often support will take place
  • the Personal Assistant’s hourly rate
  • payment and invoicing arrangements
  • notice and cancellation arrangements
  • holidays and periods of unavailability
  • boundaries and expectations
  • any information the PA needs to provide the agreed support
  • how either of you can end the arrangement

Having these conversations at the beginning helps both parties understand what has been agreed.
