How are we different to an agency?
With a traditional care agency, carers are usually employed or supplied by the agency, and the agency manages the care service.
Hub works differently. We can provide you with a business management platform to assist you to run your own business and we also provide a free service to introduce service users to independent Personal Assistants. You are not employed by Hub. You choose which introduction opportunities you are interested in, agree your own arrangements directly with service users, and remain responsible for running your own PA business.
Hub does not set your rota, direct your visits, supervise your care work or control the support you provide. Our role is to make introductions and provide business tools that can help you manage your work professionally.

Hub provides a paid business-management platform for independent PAs, with tools to help you manage your mange your business such as create invoices, track payments, access useful resources and training plus support and guidance from our friendly teams.
The Hub also provides free profile hosting for all approved PAs and may be considered for suitable introductions to service users. In all cases you remain independant, agree all work directly with the service user, and only pay where you use the paid platform tools.
No, Hub Care Support is here to help you to work as an independent Personal Assistant, working the hours that suit you.
No, the Hub platform is designed to help independent Personal Assistants manage their own PA business, not just work introduced through Hub. It can be used to manage any PA work you choose, whether the client was introduced by Hub, found privately, referred by someone else or already known to you.
No, the Hub only supports independent personal assistants. The Hub does not employ, manage, supervise or direct you. You are responsible for how you run your own PA business, including your availability, working arrangements, tax, insurance and records.
No. Hub does not charge Personal Assistants for introductions, referrals or work-finding.
Yes, fees are only for the business platform and only apply when you use facilities such as invoice generation. If you do not use the platform there is no fee. We do not charge you any set up fee.
No. Using the paid platform does not guarantee introductions, referrals or work. Introductions depend on service-user needs, location, availability, suitability, preferences and whether both parties wish to proceed.
Because many service users may be vulnerable, Hub only introduces PAs who have completed the required verification and suitability checks. These include identity checks, enhanced DBS, references, training and other relevant information. These checks are validated and approved by the Quality Care Approval Scheme.
